C'est La Vie!

Somehow, I feel so sick of my current life that I suddenly yearn to live an extravagant life.

Joyce will live in a condo that overlooks the city (today I flipped through the newspaper & saw one at Marina Bay). She will drive a sliver Volkswagen Beetle Cabriolet. She will have a cleaner to come clean up her house every once a week. She holds a job at the airport. She will have a boyfriend who alwaz wine & dine her. He's not necessary a very handsome looking guy. He juz need to be talented, mature, serious with work, jovial, & is a loving person with a heart of gold. Hmm...Maybe a poilet? I prefer guys in uniform, dun like guys wearing shirt & tie. Another vital criterion, he must be able to speak cantonese. He will frequently bring me to Italy, Rome, Paris, Vienna, Hungary....

Inspirations of this blog was triggered by all the spring cleaning & wine choosing that I've done today. I'm tired of being the Joyce now - an average human being. So plain, boring, monotonous, & ignorant (while I was buying wine todae, i dunno what's the difference between Merlot & Sauvignon, althoug both are red wine, and I've worked in a lounge before).

The Agony of Being A Woman

Why do women have to go through so much pain in life? We are supposingly the weaker gender, but, on second thought, I think women are the strongest of all. There are many things which we, Venuses can tolerate while the Martians can't even stand the thought of it.

:: The pain of epiliating (The inspiration of this blog while I was epiliating)
:: The pain of Brazilian wax (some guys love it 'bald' down there)
:: The pain of tweezing our eyebrows (very often practice)
:: The pain of laser treatment for skin (I've been through that, it's hell)
:: The pain of wearing heels (That's why Isqueez was invented for us)
:: The pain of wearing brassiere (sometimes the strap & wire hurt us)
:: The pain of dieting (it's actually the pain of giving up delicious food)
:: The pain of bodyache after all the housechores
(guys think that it is humiliating their intelligence if they do it)
:: The pain of heartbreaks (caused by jerks, bastards, womanizers, casanovas...)
:: The pain of menses cramp (and guys only know how to complain about our PMS)
:: The pain of love making (It is supposingly to be painful, & all guys care about is orgasm)
:: The pain of pregnancy (imagine, carrying another human being for 10 months!)
:: The pain of giving birth (How I wish GUYS are Seahorses!)

This blog act as a reminder for guys out there to learn to dote on & respect Women.
Because YOU make up 99% of the reasons on why woman are going through all these sufferings!

Horrible Week

Argh...this week is such a lousy one. It's making me feel miserable.

My neighbour living above me is having some kind of renovation since Wednesday, and they started drilling as early as 9am in the morning! When i'm still sound asleep, u noe, i sleep as 'early' as 6am when I'm jobless. Gosh! So damn noisy! & it only ends at 5pm!!! Every morning, these noise pollution acts as my super loud alarm, and I predict today will be the same. Hence, I decided to help out at my sis office to avoid distress tension building up inside me.

What irritated me more yesterday was me 'kanna' play out by this Advertising manager. She is my dad's friend's daughter who works in an advert. firm. So my dad asked me to call her and enquire about the job vacancy. Thus, yesterday afternoon I called her, & she insisted on meeting up without telling me any details on the phone. She suggested to meet me at Thiong Bahru Plaza between 7 - 7.30pm, but later she changed it to 8pm. I said "ok".. tho' I was wondering why of all places thiong Bahru Plaza? But since I'm meeting Mr. Wood at Ikea, so it's ok lah.

Mr. Wood end work at 4.30pm, so I met him at Ikea at 6pm. Rushed thru my CYN shopping there... and Mr. Wood went home coz he bought this huge rack. I headed to Thiong Bahru Plaza & reached there at around 7.45pm. Went toilet... freshen up... go BK bought a drink...sat down & wait for that 'big shot'. I called her on her mobile, no ans. I sms her saying Im already there, give me a call when she reach. So at around 8pm, she finally replied the poor gal who is sitting alone in BK staring at her drink (aka me!), and the msg goes "sorry will be stuck in meeting can meet you another day" (this is the EXACT msg she wrote, no punctuations & not sincere.)

I was smsing JC, and I was fiery with anger! Cannot meet me say earlier ah! Then I dun need to rush down, & can continue my shopping at Ikea & have dinner with Mr. Wood! Idiotic woman! Manager so wat leh! I not going to work for this kinda manager lor..can't imagine how much time I'm gonna waste on her if I do work for her! And another bad news is, she's actually my neighbour who lives in the same block as me! May god bless me.

I ended up going to Bukit Batok, my sis office, and bought KFC (which I have been craving for few weeks) for dinner. Haiz... what a day. Luckily JC and Kar was there to brighten my day a little.

Today I am suppose to meet MCS gals for dinner. But Sharryl last min. got make up lesson till 8pm. Haiz. Since I'm gonna accompany my sis to Peter & Guys before heading to work. Maybe I should also do something to my hair to perk myself up abit. Shave bald maybe. And perhaps after work I should go Winnie's house sit sit & chit chat.

Fond Memories of Sheraton. Or not?

This afternoon met Stonez for New Year Shopping. Everyone was kinda sianz becoz we were shopping with budget. So even though we fell head over toe for the Mango's tops... we still gotta curb the temptation of buying it, becoz it's outrageously expensive! At the end of this shopping trip, I bought 3 tops and a bag...altogether cost no more than S$100. Great buy ;)

We went seperate ways at 6.15pm. Serene & I headed to Sheraton Towers Singapore for our gathering. It has been almost 2 years that we last stepped into Sheraton Towers ever since we ended our attachment there. Thinking back, the job was really horrendous. Still remember that we can't wait to leave that place and we actually counted down to our last day of work. But, we have to admit we learnt alot there. Job was tiring but at times, it was pretty fun. Some colleagues there were really nice people. Sad to say, most of them have left Sheraton when we went back today. Even the pianist has changed, & this current one kinda sux. Her songs are all 'feelingless'.

We went Dining Room first, had main course. 5 people shared 2 main course & 1 dessert, haha... I noe we sound stingy. Hey... I have not finished yet. After Dining Room, We proceeded to the lounge, sat at a cosy corner, and ordered 4 drinks, 2 sets each of lip-smacking finger sandwich & chicken drumlets. Yummy! All of us have been craving for the Ham & Cheese finger sandwich for 2 years & we finally tasted it again! Dun ask me what so special about the sandwich, I dunno. But it juz taste sooooooooooo delicious! Best sandwich I ever had in my life! Well, ofcoz we can't get enuff of it, so we ordered one more set & our ex-colleague gave us extra plate of fries!

We got all the drinks for free..haha..if we knew we should have ordered house wine. ;P So the total bill was S$100. Initial thought, we said it was cheap. But on 2nd thought, we only had bread! Expensive carbo. Took lotsa photos... Share some with u :)

Had much fun todae, talked about Ah Sengs' Thai secret admirer, ghost stories, gossips, photo-taking... Finally, the Sheraton gathering which I have tried to organise for the past few months had a happy ending.

Eventful Day

This morning I woke up at 7.30am. Yawn! so tired... but no choice, its my graduation ceremony!!! I took a cab to Cityall Hall..bought Starbucks Coffee for Eliza, Gwen , & myself. Then I waited for Eliza to fetch me to Singapore Conference Hall. Reached there liaoz started registration.. "hi" around... wear our robe..and the stupid hat is so big for my head & it kept falling off. I got a hard time clipping it. Haiz...

The ceremony took around 2 hrs... quite boring sitting there & clapping hands..so me & my classmates took out our handphones & self entertain by taking photos.. We juz can't wait for the whole boring thing to end & go take lotsa pictures! My brother-in-law was my free photographer of the day... Haha... with his pro camera!

Had fun...My dad paid for the studio photo taking package which is S$280!! And my sister & bro-in-law bought me the printed framing of my cert (those u see in doctors rm) which cost S$150!! so touched! *weep weep*. I think my dad was very happy to see me graduate, and I'm glad he is. :)

I got home at around 5pm & started wrapping prezzies. Stonez & JC came for some pigging out session. Ordered lotsa good food! Chilli Crab, BBQ stingray, BBQ chicken wings, & Calamari! Mama Mia! My sis bought Kar & Ser a birthday cake..so sweet of her, & I bought them prezzies & flowers. Really glad they like it :) Had so much laughter..haha... hope it helps burn that extra calories. Anyway, I'm still so full now...so not eating that left over bread and gravy.

Showed them my vacation video & they got so much comments on my videoing skill! Well.. I noe it sux lah, but give face mah! haha... haiz... poor JC..actually wanted watch movie one...but laze until nv go...end up watch my lousily produced movie. haha...

Great Birthday

It has been a long time since I last blog. Was busy over the weekend and was struck by food poisoning. Argh...kept falling ill. I guess my new year resolution is to stay healthy.

I celebrated my 22nd birthday on Fri, 7th Jan, the actual day. It was fun...very fun. Much better than my 21st Birthday. Haha. I had dinner with my family at Vienna Restaurant at United Square. Love the seafood buffet there..it has lotsa varieties & its delicious! After that, I went home to wait for my Stonez sisters, Zhiwei & my Bf to come for mahjong session. To my surprise, Stonez bought me a birthday cake!! So touched!!! *Weep weep*... Not only that..my sis bought me a cake too! So...I got 2 birthday cakes! Yeah! Haha...& Ser..no..it does not make me 44 years old k! I'm still the youthful 22 years old! Haha....

The cake cutting session was at my sis house. So funny...lotsa laughter, hilarious. My family was there too. That Kar kept sprouting nonsense thru out the nite...haha..so Ser suggested her to keep quiet to avoid saying more unnecessary things. haha...Oh! Teck was here too...So...more pple..more fun! Anyway, thanx to kar for the 'ice-breaking' session. haha...u noe what I mean, Stonez??!! Haha...

We played overnite mahjong at my house till next day 8 pluz in the morning. We had 'you tiao' & 'tou hway' for supper. I think the taller a person is, the easier he gets hungry. Coz Teck *the tallest among us* was alwaz yearning for food...Haha! The next morning, everyone was stoned. *well..not much diff for we, stonez sisters tho'*...Surprisingly, or rather, ironically, Ser won!!! Wow! Actualli i think coz teck was there to help..hahaha:P

My bf slept the earliest..& Kar "joined" him after that. Yesh! They slept on my bed! together! & my bf still ask Kar wan blanket anot! Wat!?! Rite infront of my eyes! haha...no lah, actualli was rite infront of everyone eyes. Haha...nothing happened.. dun worrie! :) Kar was too shag..if she continued...Im afraid she will lost away her LV wallet as well...so Teck took over her place & minimise her loses...keke..



Making a wish...& I asked "2 cakes can make 2 wishes?" well, I got a resounding "NO!" as answer.

Frenz Are Forever.

This afternoon, I went Black Angus at Fullerton One with my sis for a gathering with her frenz. Umm...I gotta say I'm pretty close to my sis's frenz. They are really fun to be with! Nope. No age gap...not at all.

They are actually my sis secondary school frenz. Time flies, when I first know them, I was only 4 years old!! Yesh! 4 years old! Can u believe it? Now, I'm actually looking at their kid who is 2 1/2 years old. Incredible!

Long time frenz. Seldom meet. But treasured at heart. That's who they are.

Surprise Party!

Yesterday I threw a surprise party for my sis at her house, as her birthday is on the 3rd of Jan. Quick! Wish her Happy Birthday!! Although the party wasn't a big one, it was a pretty enjoyable one. :) Lotsa food, lotsa laughter, & Lotsa cakes! Haha..my sis got 2 cakes to cut. A mango cake from me, zhiwei & Yong, & a blackforest cake from my aunt. I gotta say that the Mango cake I bought taste much better thou the blackforest cake was from a Hotel. I wun tell you which hotel it is..not very good leh, since its quite a reknown hotel located opposite Far East Plaza, Beside the DFS Gallery.

Hmm...I ate alot! or rather, WE ate alot! Played mahjong till 4am in the morning! Zhiwei, the big winner, won 100 over bucks and my poor Yong lost S$90! Haha..."Good guys can't gamble", rite!!??
