A Whole New World

Good news friends! I FINALLY found a job! A job I guess I will enjoy doing it! "congratulations... and celebrations...la la la la la lala..." After a real long period of job hunting, god finally granted my wish. It might be my 3 weeks long holiday that revitalised me, mentally and physically.

Okie... you all must be curious about my job. I mean, Joyce is famous for her pickiness and what on earth is so great about this particular job that finally ties her down. Alrite, its too early for me to tell you about my job scope. Give me another 2 months... but I do know what position I am offered (nothing great, really). Yup, u heard it right, I did not apply... I was offered. I apply for a retail position and during the 2nd interview....

Interviewer: "Nope, I dun think you are suitable for the job."

Me (shocked by outrite rejection): " Oh okie... anyway, thanks alot for..."

Interviewer: "But..... I do have another position for you"

Suddenly, I see another ray of light shining down on me again.
It's a Sales Executive position for a Singapore's leading Wine Merchant.

The work place is convenient, company is reputable, colleagues are pretty nice, boss is unique (yes, unique in a way), products are interesting, and the job pays fairly well.

I am lucky. I'm really am. I found a job which fits pretty well into my criterion. I have to thanks my friends and family for their support, and also critics. Although discouragements do come from them at times, but afterall, I know its out of their care and concern for me.

As for now, I do have to work real hard to catch up with product knowledge and job requirements, but I guess I will overcome that.

Coz there's this equation:
Interests = skills, skills = interests.
When u r interested in something, you eventually will do well in it.

Challenges will officially be taken upon on 4th July 2005. Wish me well and who says, "you can never get the job you like".

Waistline Friendly Food

How I wish I hate food like chocolates, cakes, ice cream, fried chicken wings, and bread. But love food like vegetables, fruits, yogurt, and clear soup.

Then I wun need to be troubled over my waistline.

Sh*t!

Computers, Our Significant Partners.

As if life is not bad enough for me without a job, my hard disk crashed on me today without a sign. Or maybe there were signs given but not enough to catch my attention. I do have an old hard disk which I'm using now but what matters to me are my important documents stored in my 'dead' hard disk.

The 'death' of my hard disk has left me handicapped and devastated. How am I suppose to apply for jobs without my CV and resume? How am I gonna start re-writing the tedious format and comprehensive content? What about my expenses record? What about my photos?? I've got no back ups for my recent pictures taken! Gosh.. what on earth is happening to my life? Has someone cast a spell on me? Or is that some kind of retribution that I get for 3 weeks of 'free' holidays??

Well, hopefully the company I went for interview today will employ me so that I will not need my CVs and resumes in near future.

Scientists say advance technology is useful for human beings and have made life much more easier for us. In a way, yes, I agree. But in situations like now, I seriously doubt it has made life easier for me! It's causing my migraine to relapse! Humans really depend on computer so much so that computers seem to be our significant half. We entrust confidential issues to computers more than to our flesh and blood friends, family or spouse. We confide in computers (blogging), we plan with computers (expenses record), we play with computers (games), we earn a living with computers (at work and joh-hunting), we keep pets on computers (neo pets), and well, we can even have sex with computers (pronography and cybersex). Duh! What have the world become?

Does anyone still need papers and pens, and a husband/wife? Wedding with a computer will be perfect I guess.

Far Away From Home

Here I am, blogging in a foreign land, the land of fairy tales - Denmark. The time here is 11.50pm, 18th June. Sitting at the lounge of the hotel, feeling lonesome without my bed, scv, internet, and friends. Feel excited that I'm heading home soon... really miss my chicken rice and char kway teow. But at the same time, I can't bear to leave Scandenavia, the most maginificient place on earth.

Being here is like being in heaven. Everywhere has such scenic views and beautiful people...oh, and pretty nice weather too. It has gone as low as 3 degree celsius and mind you! It's summer time here!

Encountered much unbelievable happenings - I saw summer snow and actually touched it! For the past 2 weeks, I'm living in a place where the sun does not set at all and shines brightly even at 12am. Met lotsa different breeds of doggies in shopping centres, trains, parks...oh, not forgetting to mentioned snow dogs like my favourite Siberian Husky! And today.... I see both the sun and moon appearing at the same time!!! (who says the sun and moon doesn't meet?) And many many more wonders of nature! Argh... such beautiful place.

Well, all good things have to come to an end. I will be blogging soon again in the boring city - Singapore, but still my dearest home.
