Time flies, it's already the last day of year 2004. 2004 was a pretty eventful and fulfilling year for me. Learnt & experienced alot of things. Below are my few accomplishments of the year, as far as I can remember.

- Returned all my debts for driving & laser to my dad & sis in Feb. *$$ come, $$ gone*
- Got my class 3 driving licence in April. *Finally after 2 failed attempts*
- Done with all my stupid, costly subcision surgery in Oct. *Hopefully there's difference*
- Travelled to L.A & cruise Mexico in Nov. (well, if you count that as accomplishment) *Damn broke now, but worth it!*
- Completed my bachelor program in Dec. *thou its kinda lousy but ok, at least I got a cert*
- Last but not least. Managed to NOT get pocket money from dad! *Recently he gave, coz he noe i spent all my wealth on the L.A trip*

Well! Not too great accomplishments but at least, harvested some fruits. Now let us bid goodbye to Year 2004 & say Hello! to Year 2005! Hope it will be a much peaceful year, & my greatest short term goal is to find a suitable job! ;)

ChristMas Eve At Swissotel

On the 24th of December, 2004. Mr Wood & I went to stay a nite in Swissotel. We were lucky that we got a room on the 63rd floor! The room was great, the bathroom was cool, & the view was magnificent. I also bought my new Canon Ixus 40 that day. Hehe... So juz share some pics with you people :) Anyway, I was only trying out my camera, so the picture standard wasn't that good. Pardon me!

Hmm...the stay was nice. But I gotta say, the service there was BAD! Very Bad. I asked for toothpaste twice & it wasn't here till we checked out! Horrible. For once, I didn't brush my teeth. Yeeks! Lucky I got Clorets :)

Let Us Pray

Im sure everyone is aware of the killer tsunamis. It's horrible. The world's worst earthquake in 40 years have took many innocent lives. Way too many. More than 22 500 casualties & still counting.

My dad says God is punishing we, humans. Is he? But whatever it is, I have to thank God. I'm grateful that I'm safe, My family is safe, and Singapore is safe. Singapore is very lucky. All Singaporeans please get down on ur knees now, pray to God and thank him. Singapore, such a small island, would be gone if tsunami hit us *touch wood*. But here we are, safe and sound, thinking of how are we gonna celebrate new year & I'm here blogging away.

I dun think Singaporeans need such deadly disasters to remind ourselves how fortunate we are. We should not take our lov ones & our everyday life for granted, we should have realised this before such things happen. Have we really been thankful for what we have?

Let us just take 3 minutes of quiet moment & pray for those who are less fortunate than us.

Blog Reconstruction

I muz be too free at home. I spent my day staring at my monitor screen & adding extra features to my blog. Argh...I think I've beautified it..agree!? Initially I added snow....I can't get it work, so Kar helped me & yes! It's snowing! But only snow half way. Karin tout that my blog is too long. So, I added scrollbars to shorten my blog..a tedious procedure! But well, nothing can beat Joyce The Invincible, I did it!

Then...I saw this very nice starry background. I added it to my blog, but, again, the stars dun twinkle! Argh....Nearly gave up. But the funny thing was, when I insert the clock cursor., the stars started twinkling!!! Yippey! Great Job Joyce! BUT! But..my snow stopped!!!!!!!!

Argh....irritating me! Have tried so hard to get it snowing again but can't work. I give up. Wenjie said maybe can only use one animated background at a time. So the logic is, when it snows, U can't see twinkling starts in the sky. When u see twinkling stars in the sky, means its clear, thus no snow! Ah..make sense??

Tired

Horrible job. Horrible Pay. Horrible sales. Horrible Singaporeans! My legs are breaking soon & my voice's gone again! After 8hrs of standing a day and endless talking. Argh....I suddenly feel like a cheater, going around cheating people's money. Need to do some confession man.

I dun understand why Singaporeans can be so rude. They ignore me totally when I talk to them! I know I'm petite...but I'm sure they hear & notice me lor, can see it in their eyes. But they just walk away like that, treating me as invisible! Can't they just smile a little or say "no thanx"? Are they mute or dumb? A smile wun kill them lor. Sometimes I think Singaporeans are making Singapore ugly. Yah, there are some nice onez... but its less than a handful.

Well, at least I get to see my long lost fren, Billie. So it wasn't that bad...at least can complain to each other & share cab home when our legs can't take it anymore. But she got a isqueez at hm to ease the pain, I dun have!

Forget about the job. let's talk about cameras! Yippey! I've finally sold my minolta, abit 'bu she de' thou...but the tout of getting the Canon Ixus 40 excites me! Dunno whether Nokia 7270 will be out tomorrow anot leh...neck getting longer while waiting for it to be out.

Tomorrow's X'mas Eve! Got all my love onez prezzies & cards...with touching words :) Hope they'll like it! My family & my boyfriend are the best X'mas presents God gave me.

Pleasant Surprise

Yesterday I received my very first X'mas prezzie of the year! It's a Swarovski Crystal Bear! It's from a old fren of mine..so sweet of him. I know he bought the bear but I've got no idea who is it for & all of us were there making wild guesses. I only can remember me 'wowing' over the price when JC pointed out the item to me. I didn't expect this cutie is for moi! Sweet frenz...so touched *weeping quietly*. Thanx alot BBB!

JC kept reminding me of all the sins I've done...so bad ah he. I shall start being mean towards him from today onwards!

Ok...starting work tml...for 2 days only..haha! A road show for crew magazines. Sounds weird? Yah..I think so too...but I was telling Billie I wun mind if there's hunky pilots working with us..haha..& tat gal even worse..dreaming of touching their hot bods! Hiaz... Anyway, gotta thanx Billie for the lobang...muackz!

Ok....By the way, after all the blood test & x-ray..I'm feeling much much better... can eat, shop & laugh liaoz. My voice is back!!! It muz be the organic honey my sis bought for me. Natural sweetness, not smelly, not too sweet. Mmm..I likey! Gotta thanx for my family for looking after me & frenz, thanx for all your care & concern... Love ya!

Sick Day

Argh...feel so sick. Last nite I was coughing & this morning woke up 'voiceless'. Throat so painful & now voice so sexy. Running fever again. I have not ever recovered since I came back from LA. Horrible....

Went out with Ser & Kar todae...tok to them even more sick!! Can vomit blood when toking to ser...& with such frenz like Kar...haiz...forget it. No wonder I can never recover..haha!

I wanna sell my Minolta & get a Canon Ixus 40! The Image quality is so nice! Hopefully I can get rid of my minolta soon. ;)

Scrumptious Dinner

This afternoon I went to 3 different banks to settle my accounts, from Citibank to UOB, From UOB to DBS...headache. Finally I cleared my debts, but im extremely broke now...and my sis is extremely rich now. Horrible.

Well, but at least I had a great dinner. Had Japanese buffet at Kuishin-Bo, Suntac City. Quite exp... S$32+ per person...but the food there is delicious & have lots of varieties!!!

Eating there is quite fun! Coz they have this special dish which is only limited to 10 people. So when u hear the irritating advert song "dong dong dong..123..we r kuishin-bo"..u gotta run & look for a waitress with a bell, & line up infront of her...Haha! so funny! Very typical Singaporean style! Haha..me & my family are alwaz the first few in the queue *feeling peiseh*, these special cruisines range from lobster, crab to mochi Ice cream...hoiishi!

Oh! & senior citizens got half price!!! My dad only paid S$16! So unfair!!

Good Old Friends

Yesterday I went dinner with Mae & Sharryl at Fish & Co, Suntac. (kinda glad it's not Sakae again!) It's a muz have gathering each time Mae comes back from Australia & this time round, she'll be back for 3 mths!!! So me & Sharryl's gonna bug her till end of Feb! Haha....

Time flies...We've known one another for like...umm...wait let me count. 11 years! More than a decade! Wow! We spent the wonderful time together in MCS...great time. Dun study, every morning play catching & our own invented game - 'Freeze'; after exams, it will be UNO time! For sure will play Uno one...oh, & 'fortune telling' using Uno cards...Haha! Kids! *Rolling my eyes*
Ooh! and we always play 'who stole the cookie' at the school porch while waiting for our schoolbus. Ah...the good old days.

Can't forget our horrendous music lessons with Mrs. Ee..haha..billie agree?? Everytime when we forgot to bring our recorder, we will borrow $$ from whoever we known & buy one from the bookshop! In the end, our house is filled with nothing, but recorders! But Mrs Ee is great. I will never forget her warm hug.

So glad that we are still best of frenz...even though we are heading to different ways. Can you gals imagine, Iris is married! Oh gosh... let's see who's next.

X'mas is the festival I love most.

I love thanx giving, showering my loved onez with gifts.

I love gathering, X'mas is such a warm season to gather with my family & have some log cake, champagne, turkey & ham.

I love X'mas tree & yule-tide carols, what is X'mas without these!? it brightens up the season, definitely.

Nope. I'm not a Christian nor Catholic. Ironically, I'm a Buddhist. So why do I celebrate X'mas? Coz of my up-bringing, my family tradition. I grew up in an environment that X'mas plays such a n important role.

So many years have gone by, childhood is only in my memories. That is why X'mas alwaz bring back fond memories of my childhood. I juz love my family, my grandma, my cousins, & ofcoz, the presents :)

Branded Goods - Lousy

Today I went X'mas shopping with my sis & her fren. So we went LV (u should noe which brand is tat) to take a look & at the same time, I took my wallet which was left unused for quite some time, back for maintenance.

I asked: "izzit possible that you clean this for me coz it was left unused for quite sometime"

Sales personnel: "Im sorry mdm, this leather can't be cleaned, if not it will lost its shine"

I replied with a sigh: " so wat about the interior? its quite dirty leh"

Again, she said: "we can't change the lining for u if it gets sticky."

So, the agitated me exclaimed! "that means there's nothing can be done lah!"

and this is wat i get as reply "yah, so sorry"

Wat!!!?? My bro-in-law paid so much for this wallet & they come & tell me they can't maintain it! LV keep emphasizing that they provide follow up services but yet they keep telling customers nothing can be done. They are juz lazy I guess!

The angry me said loudly to my sis infront of other customers "wow..we pay so much for wat?" well, I noe I sound like some typical bitch coz the people there gave me that funny stare. But who cares! I'm annoyed!

I was complaining non-stop till dinner time & I think my sis find me very long-winded. I was thinking if this material cannot be maintain, so why in heaven's sake do they develop this range of product in the first place!? And they priced it at such high price! Pay for wat? pay for trouble and heartache?

LV better do some soul-searching. Giordano has got even better service.

Stop Calling Me!

Recently I've got lots of unknown numbers calling my mobile. I tout is which hunk wanting to know me...but when I pick up the phone, it's a gal...and worse still, they introduce themselves as financial Advisor! I get horrified when I heard this term. Coz basically they wun stop bugging you..they sound like they are so determine to recruit you into a cult. Horrible!

I guess I can never be a financial advisor & I will NEVER be one! I think the qualities they need to possess are thick-skin, noe how to glib talk, persistant, & not to be so honest. I believe in every insurance policies, there are loopholes. My dad have bought me lots of insurance plans which I think I can die from juz paying for those in future when I work! There's one savings insurance which I have to pay S$50 every month...and I onli can get it when im 60 years old!!! So I asked my dad, "what if I die before 60, how?" then my dad replied, "too bad lor, ur beneficiary gets the $$ lor" Duh!

Why do a person need so many insurance plans? its better to keep to a minimal I guess, coz i dun believe in insurance that will benefits you totally. Yes, some insurance are necessary..like personal accident, life, & household. But some are juz futile!

I admit that I am an anti-insurance person. I dun believe in them, like my grandma. Maybe that explains why she's rich coz she dun spend $$ on insurance policies. I apologise to those financial advisors out there for me being so blunt. But, seriously, stop calling me & trying to psycho me into buying one. I told u many times that I've got many commitments already! I rather put my $$ in some Milo or biscuits tins & stash it under my bed!

Oh! and to my frenz...please please please dun recommend them to me anymore k? I've got enuff calls.

Another Disappointing Day

Regardless of yesterday fruitless search, todae I went searching for my Levi's skirt again! With the company of JC...but, the search is still unsuccessful :'( In the end, JC is the one who found his shoes. His all-so-meaningful Nike shoes. So we ended up at bugis MOS burger waiting for BBB...& I was chomping down food to vent my frustration.

It was so sweet of BBB to voluntarily lend me his K700i...but somehow i dun dare to use it leh, scared I scratch it then i die! so maybe i shall juz leave it in my drawer first:) Ooh! & if i did not misunderstood, Wenjie also wanted to lend me his spare phone....I got such nice frenz! So touched leh *tears welling up my eyes*

Not like someone...todae my PTBF broke my heart... coz he wrote about Kar in his blog but never write about me...so sad :( *weeping quietly (actually its juz optrex eyedrop)*
Haha..juz kidding lah! I where got so petty...at most juz strip off his post only mah..haha! He asked me to think of the good things he did lehz...so that I will not 'retrench' him. But since he wanna be a jerk rite..so I no need think lor.

Singapore is so small! I juz realise BBB noes Zhiwei...& Zhiwei noes Kar who BBB also noes...Haha...confused? aiyah, to sum it up...they are all my frenz lah! Dunno it's I 'heng' or 'suay' tho' :P But I gotta admit they are nice frenz lah :)

Such A Bad Day

I'm so disappointed & 'pek chek' todae! Wanted to buy my Levi's Lady Style Swarovski Mini Skirt... BUT! Whole Singapore SOLD OUT! What!?! & they are not reproducing it anymore! :'( This is so call "got $$ also cannot buy" situation. Really like that skirt so much...was eyeing it before I went to the States. I was feeling so down that I could cry...& my stupid Mr. Wood still can laugh! Feel like slapping him at tat moment! *fiery with anger* Well, but he deserves some credits for 'escorting' me from suntac area to orchard road to search for the skirt, a fruitless search tho'. K lah, a piece of log cake for him on X'mas bah...

Haiz...oh! & u noe what!? I dropped my 8210 todae. Already very 'lao kok kok' liaoz...some more drop on hard concrete floor! the casing was broken & some numbers not working!! So i msged JC halfway & i stopped liaoz. Sianz....better dun drop anymore...if not i'll be 'handphoneless'! Should ask Mr. Wood to get me my Nokia 7270 since he getting year end bonus..haha! But the phone is not even out in the market yet.

But anyway, received some of my assignments results todae...got some As...so it kinda balance up my mood. Hmm...My As are all for interviewing assignments leh...so i guess I'm a potential future-to-be paparazzi ya? I see my future now...holding recorders, cameras, microphones, papers & pens, chasing after celebrities...*see the pic in ur head?* Joyce's petite build can easily squeeze between the others.

Everything's Over

Finally! everything's come to an end...I've managed to submit my special projects on time...actually not really on time lah, deadline was extended..but watever! I've completed! Yes! Projects over, exams over, studies over...great.

But I hope I can get a 2nd class degree...if not 3rd class lor..better than nothing rite? January 15 2005 is my graduation day..looking forward to it...but muz deposit S$200 to wear that stupid hat & robe! *piss*

Ooh...Bille..my sis bought the isqueeze & I told her you actualli won it..she was 'traumatized'. Coz she gotta spend S$500+ on it & yet u got it for FREE! haha...she said she's gonna charge me when i use it. she'll buy a coinbox and place beside it, whoever uses it have to drop $$ inside...such sister!

Hmm..now's another chapter of my life. Stepping into the working society soon - welcome to the realistic world. Gosh! Juz did an assignment on personality traits & career choices...but I'm still unsure of my own personality traits & which careers are suitable for me. Better dun let my lecturer sees this...she's gonna fail me!
