New Found Love

I'm so loving this new iPod Nano. Especially when it's in RED! When i laid my hands on it... I pratically can't get them off! It's such a beauty.

Thou my MP3 player has long spoilt, I still can't afford to buy this hotty. I'm paying my school fees through my nose.

Can Santa drop it down my Chimney on Christmas? I've been a good girl.

Lack of Zest

My department has been pretty busy recently and an overseas visitor has made us even busier.

For the week, we have been bringing a French around to have a taste of tradition. Brought him for Dim Sum... Indonesian food... Thai food... Chinese food... and this evening, we introduced him to local Indian food.

Chatting over dinner, he asked:"How was your childhood?". The question was being directed to me, apparently because I'm the youngest. It took me awhile to think... trying to recall the past 24 years of my life and my reply was - "Nothing much, school and school". There came a french accent exclaiming:"Boring!!".

Yeah I know.. tell me about it.

Monsieur told us his younger days story... having lotsa wine parties, drive around without a licence, exploring caves... yada yada yada. I have always envy the french's carefree yet classy living. They do have much more advantages living in a country with much natural resources and landscape to explore.

Singapore - a dot you can hardly locate on the atlas, how enjoyable do you expect it to be? I used to learn in school that Singapore has a strategic location and very much that is the reason why we prospered. Have this strategic location made us a boring place? And has prosperity made Singaporeans a boring lot?

Well, at least i recalled horseback riding and fishing in my younger days. What about you?

Let us learn a french phrase - "cette ville n'est pas très vivante" (There's not much life in this town).
